NEW YORK — An employee at Evraz Inc. North America’s Claymont, Del., facility is in the hospital after being struck by a moving crane on the morning of March 13, a company spokeswoman confirmed.

The employee is receiving care at the local hospital and is in stable condition, the spokeswoman said. The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.

"We are investigating the incident," she added.

Production was not affected at the facility, which specializes in producing carbon discrete plate and has an annual capacity of more than 500,000 tons, the Chicago-based steelmaker said.
