ITA launches probe of stainless pressure pipe imports

NEW YORK — The Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration (ITA) has initiated an anti-dumping duty investigation into imports of welded stainless pressure pipe from Malaysia and Thailand from April 1, 2012, to March 31, 2013, and from Vietnam from Oct. 1, 2010, to March 31, 2013.

The U.S. International Trade Commission, which is conducting a separate investigation on injury, is scheduled to issue its preliminary determination by July 1.

The petitioners are Bristol Metals LLC, Felker Brothers Corp. and Outokumpu Stainless Pipe Inc.
