CHICAGO — Mexican alloyed billet and slab producer Aluminicaste Fundición de México S. de RL de CV and construction company Walbridge Aldinger Co. have joined the Aluminum Association.

The Arlington, Va.-based trade group said Nov. 21 that Aluminicaste, based in Central Mexico, has joined as a producer member. Aluminicaste makes soft and hard alloys for the extrusion, rolling and forging, the association said.

Detroit-based Walbridge, one of the biggest privately owned construction companies in the United States, joined as an associate member, the Aluminum Association said. Walbridge specializes in auto manufacturing building as well as aluminum and specialty metal plant construction and equipment installation, the association said, noting that Walbridge has done work for Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based Kaiser Aluminum Corp., Pittsburgh-based Alcoa Inc., Atlanta-based Novelis Inc. and Davenport, Iowa-based Nichols Aluminum LLC.

With the addition of Aluminicaste and Walbridge, the Aluminum Association said it now has 98 members: 50 producer members and 48 associate members.
